A day exploring Israel’s northern Mediterranean shore from the vibrant market in Akko, to the cliffs of Rosh Hanikra.
Drive to Haifa and visit the Bahai Gardens. The Bahai religion originated in Iran and its followers decided to build their world center in Haifa when they came under persecution. This impressive spot offers some truly spectacular scenery.
Tour Akko, the ancient port city built and influenced by the Crusaders, Arabs, Ottoman Turks and the British. Akko's souk (market place) is right in the center of the Old City and is a fun and vibrant bazaar full of fresh produce, cheap eats, buckets of spices, and souvenirs.
Travel to Rosh Hanikra, with the stunning chalk-white cliffs at Israel’s northernmost coastal border. Enjoy the view of the Mediterranean coastline stretched out before you, then take the cable car down beneath the cliffs to the grottos below and tour the system of underground caves eroded by pounding waves over thousands of years.
